Common questions
Is the iPhone app free?
The initial iPhone release is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Some AI features have usage limits; the app tells you when you reach one. If you have a separate website subscription, manage it through website Settings.
How do I sign in or recover my learning progress?
Open Your account and sign in with the email address you used before. Your saved words and progress belong to that account. Use the password reset option on the sign-in page if needed. The iPhone launch uses email sign-in; signing up with another address creates a separate account.
The app can't find my location.
Check that location access is enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Immersive Language. You can also skip location entirely and practice through Situations. Near me requires an internet connection and location access. Place research and menu conversations currently support Taiwan.
How does Say it and compare use my microphone?
On one of your lines in a place conversation, tap Record yourself. Allow microphone access when asked, or enable it in iOS Settings → Apps → Immersive Language → Microphone. You can record up to 15 seconds and compare your take with the example. It stays on your phone and is deleted when you leave the line or background the app. This feature does not give a pronunciation or tone score.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account on the web, or Your account → Delete account in the iPhone app. This permanently erases your learning data and cancels an active website subscription, if you have one. The current iPhone release has no subscription to cancel. If deletion cannot finish, the app shows a retry option. Deletion cannot be undone.
A phrase or recording seems wrong.
Use the flag control beside the word, line, or menu item. Choose a recording problem or a wording problem and add a note if you can. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, including wrong tones. You can also email the phrase and the screen where you found it.
